Becky graduated from Salford University in 2002, and spent 16 years working in musculoskeletal medicine, within elite sports. More recently she has made the move to private practice, and corporate physiotherapy to allow her to pursue her animal physiotherapy goals.
Becky completed an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at Bath University in 2011, and then went on to fulfil her childhood dream of becoming a Veterinary Physiotherapist completing a masters level 7 at the University of Liverpool, Leahurst Campus in 2017, becoming a Cat A member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) and accepted onto the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners ( RAMP).
Whilst studying she gained invaluable experience with some of the best equine physios in the country, and one of the largest canine specialist hospitals in the northwest incorporating neurological cases, post surgical rehabilitation and hydrotherapy.
Becky also holds an Equinology equine massage qualification, is qualified to microchip and canine first aid trained. She has always had a great love for animals having brought up around horses, dogs and small animals and over the years, having competed in eventing and trained her own dogs in gundog work, agility rally obedience and scent work, she is currently the proud owner of two lovely Labradors, two rabbits and five chickens.
It has always been her goal to strive for excellence, partaking in continued professional development. Using current evidence-based practice alongside clinical reasoning to ensure the best possible outcome for all of her patients.
